No Tribune today, and La Vanguardia has little news.

Thanks to fixed prices, a buying rush is on — the store is jammed pack and the best goods are selling out at top prices. Six million ration points in Manila await a buying chance. The poorer folk are selling their ration cards at up to P10 per card.

Maurice had to close the store early because it takes 45-minutes to clear the waiting crowd inside. The Japanese and Primco made a stupid mistake with their poorly conceived and stupidly executed rationing system. They meant to limit rations to one dress per card by including stamps for items like socks, handkerchiefs and towels, but with no checking procedure, people are using their 100 points to buy dresses.
