Mindoro guerrillas avenged the death of Bishop Finnemann by shooting the Japanese colonel who killed him. Conditions in Mindoro are tough — even the electricity is down. Mr. Lobregat, a member of our parish church, was recently sent there in some official capacity. His wife wears a worried look to church every day; she hasn't been herself since her husband left. Heard my first longwave broadcast of allied news from Radio India on 1185 kilocycles — all 10 minutes of it interspersed with heavy static. |
