Nippongo Week begins today. The P30 Grand Prize for the Slogan Contest goes to a Japanese lady for: Nippongo de ashinami sorou kyoeiken [The establishment of the Greater East-Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere depends on everyone popularizing the Japanese language]. The other slogans were equally unmemorable. Over 670 persons took part; 50% of the entries were in Japanese, 40% in English, and Tagalog a poor third with 10%.
