Carrier attacks on Truk, Wolea and Hollandia, and now, Palau! The Japanese invasion of South Luzon and Mindanao started from Palau — a stone's throw from the Philippines. So far, no transports are mentioned so a landing doesn't seem imminent. The worm is beginning to turn in Burma. The British, ever conservative, say the Japanese advance has been "slowed." I'd say it's on its last legs. |
