Tribune: "Nippon Operations in Burma Making Favorable Progress." "U.S. Admits Nippon Gain in Bougainville" — a typical trick of quoting the first part of the communiqué, and omitting the part that says they were practically annihilated. "Alien Profiteers Blamed for Crisis." Director Dominador M. Tan, of the Kalibapi's Bureau of Research and Planning, on the radio last night "condemned third party nationals engaged in profiteering activities as greatly responsible for the stringent economic difficulties being undergone by the people." Nuts! What do the third party nationals have to do with the lack of transportation and food? Many foreign companies are supporting idled Filipino staff at a loss. |
