The Japanese Air Force apparently doesn't believe that it'll take years for the Americans to return. They had some planes looking out for them over Manila today despite the rainy weather. Tribune: "High Praise Paid Slain Officer." The Director-General of the Japanese Military Administration attended the funeral of Strebel, a German-Spanish mestizo who worked for the Japanese. It's said that he tipped them of Olivares presence in Manila, and that he used "rough methods" in his work. Quite a lot of people are glad he was bumped off. |
