La Vanguardia: Italo-German troops "completed their duty" in Tunisia and fought until their ammunition ran out. News is the Allies took 175,000 prisoners plus much booty, including food for six months. Clarifications from the Department of the Interior: Only heads of families are obliged to do Neighborhood Association patrols, though all able-bodied males of 18 to 60 years should help. They should bear in mind that they don't have the authority to enforce the law. Truth is, we are not even patrolling anymore. |
