Met ex-boss Santamaria at Schaer's. Benny Gaberman was there, complaining about prices. "Every time the Commodities Control says prices have gone down, they go up another 50%. But seriously though, with every lie they tell, the Filipinos get madder than hell." Correct, the Japanese had an opportunity to win the country over but flushed it by misjudging Filipino intelligence. The Editorial in today's Tribune tried again to drive a wedge between Filipinos and Americans. It only proves the Japanese are not winning the battle for the hearts and minds of the Filipinos. |
