To add to Nakashima's woes, his recent statements that the U.S. no longer pose any threat were contradicted by Hori in one fell swoop: "Anglo-American second front may take shape in a general U.S. counter-attack against Japan." Hori wants Japan to prepare for the American counterattack in the Pacific that Nakashima says cannot happen. A certain Manila judge was told he was lucky to have his job and the whole judicial set-up untouched by the Japanese. It's no accident, he said, the Japanese have no one here competent enough to tinker with our laws and procedures. |
