"Nazis Attack Factory Area in Stalingrad." No news of the Pacific — not a breath, word, or sigh. Not even from Tomokazu Hori although he had lots to say about the Fuehrer's speech. Not even about the Solomons. But this doesn't mean Americans and Australians are not losing their lives heroically with each passing day. It means the Japanese are continuing to lose ships, men and materials on a much vaster scale than the allies; that they failed to retake the Solomons, and are retreating in New Guinea. |
