Fourteen charcoal-burning, newly painted city buses took to the streets today and seven got stuck at various times and places. Girls collect the fares, and pretty soon the buses will be too crowded for them to move or collect anything. Tribune: "Order Liquidation of Hostile Banks." "All loans, advances and other receivable accounts ... were declared due and payable notwithstanding the terms and conditions of the contracts." Debtors have until September 30 to pay the principal and interest of their obligations. Securities pledged and/or properties mortgaged in favor of the banks may be sold at auction sale when necessary to liquidate. The assets are worthless, as only the Japanese would dare buy them. |
