Thirty-two disabled prisoners were released from Bilibid prison into a Sampaloc hospital. "It is the sense of the public that this act of the Japanese Imperial Army has relieved the anxiety of many families which otherwise could not have known the fate of their kin." Yes, but it's because the Japanese choose to not publish a list of prisoners. "A total of 96 industrial plants in the Manila area have resumed operations, reflecting the speedy return to normalcy," says the Tribune. Funny how the quoted number of plants by industry exceeds the number of plants we originally had. |
