Realizing that they'll be around for a while, engineers are setting themselves up in style, renting household appliances like refrigerators for fantastic prices. They don't pay in cash but in canned goods, trafficking of which is not allowed. Considering black market prices, renters are making out very well. Another racket is peddling government gas.
