Tribune: "INA-Japanese Forces Enter Indian Territory." Editorial: "The Fateful Hour for Britain." E.M. also writes about the advance into India, and Commentator calls it a "Magnificent Victory." The news confirms the Japanese are five miles into Manipur — advancing, yes, but getting bombed from the air. Meanwhile, Airborne troops have cut the Mandalay-Mytkyina rail and road lines behind the Japanese. Friessner, of Inhelder Corp., sent his wife in Shanghai P1,000 through a Japanese bank; she received Y500. Someone else sent Y500 from Shanghai to Manila and the recipient got P250. If you send P100 on a round trip, you'll get P25 back! |
