Tribune: "P50 starts fund for two cops killed in line of duty" — by an anonymous donor for the benefit of the victims' large families. This is the first mention of the Pandacan incident where two guerrillas (bandits, they were called) were killed. I'm told that another two were taken alive and interrogated, leading to the capture of the whole group, including two policemen. They are responsible for the recent killings, operating from Calle Trabajo — near us. Given the rate at which we are losing policemen (killed or arrested), it's not surprising that La Vanguardia says 200 more will be trained and added to the force.
