November 8, 1942 — 100th day of the Stalingrad battle
The big news today is Africa. The Americans have landed with a large force in Algeria and maybe in Morocco. The Sunday Tribune quotes Hori: "U.S. cannot launch offensive before end of 1943." To me it's almost an admission that Japan cannot win the war. |
